Projects: a workspace for each piece of work
A proposal, a tender, an audit: work has a beginning, an end and documents of its own. That is what projects are for. A project is the desk for one particular piece of work, with the files that belong to it right now, the state of things, and the conversations about it. All in one place, for everyone involved.

Upload files directly
Section titled “Upload files directly”Until now, files reached the AI only through connected systems such as SharePoint, a file server or a mailbox. In a project you simply upload them yourself, by dragging or picking them. Moments later they are searchable, and most of them get a short automatic description of their content.
PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, HTML, CSV, Markdown, text files and images are supported, up to 50 MB per file and 500 files per project. A file with the same name replaces the existing one, so handing in a newer version is easy. Project files count towards your company’s storage quota, and Settings under Data sources now breaks down how much of it goes to connected systems and how much to projects.
Chats that already know where things stand
Section titled “Chats that already know where things stand”In a chat inside a project, the AI knows the state and all of the project’s files without you selecting anything. You decide per chat who can see it: Only me or In the project, and you can change your mind later. Trying things out stays private, and whatever leads to the result is visible to everyone involved.
A conversation that only later turns out to deserve a project can be moved into one afterwards: via the menu on the chat in your history, or simply by saying so in the chat. The AI then creates the project and, if you want, takes the attached files straight in with it.
What the project knows
Section titled “What the project knows”Every project keeps a short board with the state, the decisions and the open points. You write it yourself, and the AI keeps it up to date as you work: when something is decided or an open point is closed, it records it there. Every change lands in a history with comparison and restore, and you can see whether a person or the AI wrote it.
That way somebody joining later finds their footing without reading the entire chat history.
Access for the people involved
Section titled “Access for the people involved”A project belongs to you alone at first. You bring in individual colleagues or whole groups, with three roles: Read only (read, search and chat in the project), Can edit (also change files and context) and Can administer (also manage access and delete). Ownership can be handed over, for example when responsibility moves on.
If you are invited into many projects, you can hide the ones you do not need from your own list. Nothing changes for anyone else.
And once the work is done, a project is allowed to disappear again. That is exactly what sets it apart from the knowledge base, which carries your lasting company knowledge.
Who is this for?
Section titled “Who is this for?”Projects are included in the Business and Max license and are open to every member. If you would rather try them with a small circle first, take the “Use projects” group permission away from the “Alle Mitglieder” system group and give it to a group of your own.
