GPT-5.6 is the new default model
We have switched the platform default models to the new GPT-5.6 generation. This gives you noticeably better answers in your daily work, without changing anything about your costs or your usage. In addition, 9brains now creates Word documents in significantly better quality.
Noticeably smarter in everyday work
Section titled “Noticeably smarter in everyday work”GPT-5.6 is OpenAI’s current model generation and has won us over in real-world use: the model understands tasks more precisely, reasons more coherently, and stays consistently strong even with long documents and multi-step tasks. At the same time it is fast and responds without long waits, even on complex questions.
We are convinced that GPT-5.6 is an excellent choice for everyday work right now. That is why it is the default model from now on: if you just start chatting, you are automatically working with the new generation. As always, you can pick a different model at any time via the model selector in the chat. You can find an overview of all available models under AI models.
Hosted in Europe
Section titled “Hosted in Europe”For 9brains, GPT-5.6 runs exclusively in European data centers. Your requests and content stay in Europe, just as you expect from 9brains. You can find the details under Privacy & data sovereignty.
More intelligence, same quota
Section titled “More intelligence, same quota”Your license includes an integrated usage quota, and nothing changes there: despite the leap in quality, GPT-5.6 is very cost-effective, so the switch does not increase your usage. You get significantly more intelligence for the same budget, with no migration and no extra costs.
Word documents in better quality
Section titled “Word documents in better quality”Creating Word files has improved as well. 9brains now checks every generated document for a clean layout itself before you receive it: page breaks, tables, and fonts are right where they belong, and the document looks in Word the way it was meant to.
More demanding documents also turn out more reliably: tables of contents, captions and cross-references, comments, and tracked changes are handled cleanly. And if you provide an existing Word template, the finished document adopts its styles, so the result matches your corporate design right away.
You can find more about working with documents under Documents.
