New model: GPT-5.4 from OpenAI

GPT-5.4 from OpenAI is now available as a chat model on the 9brains platform. The model replaces GPT-5.2 as the default OpenAI model.

What is new in GPT-5.4?

GPT-5.4 offers improved performance over its predecessor on complex tasks, in particular on multi-step analyses, summaries of long documents and code generation. Response quality and consistency have improved noticeably.

Model selection

You can select GPT-5.4 via the model selector in the top right of the chat. Which models are available to you is configured by your workspace administrator in the model settings.

Note on GDPR

GPT-5.4 is served via the OpenAI API. For GDPR-compliant use we recommend the EU-sovereign models from Anthropic (Claude) or the Azure-based OpenAI models, which are processed exclusively in European data centers. Details can be found on our page on data protection & data sovereignty.
